Elcoline integrates its SSG Sahala’s heat exchanger operations with Turbine and Generator Services (TGS). They have a strong market position in their key categories in the Nordic countries, and they employ a fifth of all Elcoline’s personnel of nearly one thousand. The step builds on the strong synergies identified when Elcoline acquired TGS from Fortum in 2024, after the SSG Sahala acquisition in 2023.
“We are proud to increase the value and adaptability of our services for the Nordic energy and industrial sectors through the combined competencies of TGS and Sahala”, states Lars-Hugo Andersson, Head of TGS. “Our shared mission remains clear: To be the best partner throughout the entire lifecycle of rotating equipment and heat-transfer assets, supporting your operational reliability and environmental transition.”
From the two parties joining forces, Elcoline TGS provide lifetime management for rotating main equipment, including sustainable solutions for turbines and generators. Elcoline’s Sahala heat exchangersare used across industries, from nuclear to renewable energy, as well as in refineries, chemical plants, and paper and pulp mills. Both have decades of experience and a long history in their respective fields.
“By combining TGS’s expertise in turbine and generator maintenance with SSG Sahala’s capabilities in heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and heavy workshop manufacturing, we create a true one-stop shop for critical equipment services. Elcoline will be able to deliver integrated service packages for turbines, generators, and heat exchangers – also OEM-independently”, emphasises Elcoline Group CEO Jere Räisänen.
“For industrial customers, the integration also means greater workshop capacity and execution power for demanding projects, enhanced condition monitoring and IoT-enabled maintenance solutions, and faster response and shorter turnaround times thanks to combined resources”, concludes Andersson.
The operative combination does not affect the existing agreements, contacts, and project teams. The merger of legal entities will await further along, at least until 2027.
