Materials technology company Aisti has selected Elcoline their maintenance partner of new acoustic tile factory. Construction work at the site in Kitee, Finland is currently under way, and Elcoline’s team has already begun preparing maintenance operations ahead of the start of production later this summer.
In line with its updated strategy, Elcoline is focusing on long-term service agreements and acting as an outsourced maintenance partner in order to increase the share of recurring business. In Eastern Finland, Elcoline employs around 80 maintenance professionals, with further recruitment ongoing. The company also operates heat exchanger manufacturing in the region.
Aisti’s Kitee factory will manufacture environmentally friendly, non-toxic and low-carbon acoustic tiles made of bio-based materials. The investment represents a step towards a more sustainable future for the construction industry.
“We selected Elcoline as our maintenance partner due to their strong local expertise and their long-term, partnership-driven way of working. Launching a new production facility requires a reliable partner who understands both the demands of our processes and the importance of high quality and plant availability. We expect smooth day-to-day operations, proactive maintenance and joint continuous development over the long term,” says Mikko Paananen, CEO of Aisti.
Aisti manufactures innovative, natural, recyclable and low-carbon ceiling acoustic tiles that are safe for both people and the environment. Once production at the Kitee factory has stabilised, the site is expected to create approximately 50 new jobs in the region. The factory’s planned production capacity is 2.5 million square metres per year.
